The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups, from neonates to the elderly. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively.
This role operates within the established policies and procedures of Piedmont Eastside Medical Center, ensuring adherence to professional standards and accountability in practice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The RN will:
- Maintain high standards of nursing practice.
- Coordinate patient care activities with other healthcare professionals.
- Provide quality nursing care to all assigned patients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
EXPERIENCE:
New graduates from nursing programs are welcome to apply.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia or possess a valid NLC/eNLC multistate license. BLS certification is mandatory.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
For PRN positions, a minimum of one year of nursing experience in a hospital environment is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is advantageous, along with advanced certification in a relevant specialty area, if applicable.
