Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Cub Foods. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists with processing prescriptions, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions, verifying patient information, and contacting prescribers for refill authorizations.
  • Operate computer systems to input prescription data, print labels, and maintain sales records.
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient records and maintain knowledge of drug names and their uses.
  • Process prescription returns, order and stock prescription medications, and follow proper currency handling and cash register procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service, greet and thank customers, and assist with product location and questions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the pharmacy and stock areas.
  • Comply with standard operating procedures for handling and dispensing hazardous drugs.
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other team members.
  • Ability to operate computer systems and office equipment, including personal computers, telephones, and fax machines.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings, with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and follow procedures for handling confidential information.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
