Plumber - Facilities Management Specialist

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our Operations and Maintenance team in Facilities Management. The successful candidate will deliver quality work and provide excellent customer service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remove, replace, and repair plumbing fixtures and systems, including toilets, faucets, and water heaters.
  • Repair sewer lines, grease traps, and lead cast iron joints.
  • Safely operate sewer machines and perform preventive maintenance on plumbing fixtures and systems.
  • Operate PC and Handheld devices for time management, work order assignments, status, inventory, and other functions as required.

Requirements:

  • Three years of journey-level commercial plumbing experience.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational education in the plumbing field may substitute for one year of the experience requirement.
  • Must complete a Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) and MCSO background investigation and TOC certification to access County detention facilities.
  • Five years of experience within a large commercial, industrial, or institutional environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and selected software programs, including Maximo.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to various forms of hazardous energy sources, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. They will also be required to use various forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required to fulfill the requirements of the position.
