Position Summary:
The Resident Engagement Coordinator is responsible for planning and facilitating tailored activity programs that cater to individual resident needs. This role involves both direct interaction with residents and collaboration with the activity team to enhance the overall experience within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the resident activity director in various capacities as required.
  • Leverage the environment to create a comforting and stimulating atmosphere for residents.
  • Encourage a sense of belonging and community within the facility.
  • Lead and engage in both individual and group activities.
  • Implement diverse therapeutic models such as animal-assisted therapy, music engagement, and creative arts.
  • Assist in the decoration of the facility and preparation for special occasions and seasonal celebrations.
  • Create and distribute a monthly activity calendar for residents and their families.
  • Engage in recreational activities for residents who are unable to leave their rooms.
  • Encourage and promote volunteer initiatives within the community.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and participant attendance.
  • Organize and store activity materials and ensure cleanliness post-activity.
  • Utilize a holistic approach to enhance resident well-being.
  • Provide or coordinate support for residents and families during challenging times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
