Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough injury assessments and develop effective treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Establish and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluation results and health goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Identify and address factors affecting patient comfort and well-being, demonstrating a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Develop and implement performance enhancement programs for athletes, focusing on fitness and sports performance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, including assessment, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with outreach partners to generate revenue through referrals and patient visits, while also increasing community health education and program awareness.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patient treatment, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform various patient positioning, transferring, and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
  • Athletic Trainer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Driver's license issued by the state of Illinois or a valid driver's license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed documentation.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to waist level, lift up to 10 pounds from waist to overhead, and lift and carry up to 40 pounds at waist height a reasonable distance. The position requires the ability to push/pull with 30 pounds of force, perform a sliding transfer of 150 pounds with a second person present, and work in a variety of environments, including office and outdoor settings. The candidate must also have functional use of senses to allow effective communication and the ability to perform fine manipulation for dressing and massage applications.
