Job Overview

Roadway Asset Services, LLC is seeking a skilled GIS Specialist to join our team. As a GIS Specialist, you will play a critical role in collecting and analyzing large volumes of sensor data and imagery to assess the condition of roads across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update and create databases and shapefiles of project results using QGIS and ArcGIS Pro.
  • Develop online content through ESRI ArcGIS Online and Power BI.
  • Process and evaluate pavement and ROW data from the collection process.
  • Operate the Roadway Asset Collection (RAC) vehicle on a rotational basis.
  • Work with a Sr. Engineer to process needed data for project delivery, including developing and documenting standard procedures.
  • Analyze pavement conditions, including rating of roadway sections using the PCI system (ASTM D6433).
  • Analyze pavement budget scenarios using Pavement Management Software such as Cartegraph, Pavement Express, Lucity, or Paver.
  • Develop pavement maintenance recommendations with a Sr. Engineer.
  • Write project reports using the Microsoft Office Suite, including graphs and tables of results.
  • Coordinate project meetings, schedules, and work for multiple projects.
  • Present condition data results and analysis results to clients.
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in engineering, GIS, or a similar field of study is preferred.
