Job Summary

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AVP, Human Resources to lead the strategic and transformational leadership of all aspects of HR at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) & Alice Hyde Medical Center (AHMC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Embed talent, total rewards, organizational development, HR operations & technology, engagement & labor management as core processes throughout the Partners & Network.
  • Support the organization's people agenda to acquire, develop, engage and retain exceptional talent to drive long-term performance and results.
  • Direct the continuing development and deployment of performance management, learning and leadership development programs to build organizational skills, foster change management competencies and achieve goal alignment in support of strategic imperatives and opportunities.
  • Develop a strong employee engagement program that facilitates open communication with leadership, educates employees on how they contribute to enterprise-wide goals, and promotes a commitment to continuous improvement at all levels within the organization.
  • Evaluate the organization on a recurring basis, propose changes that will make the HR organization better aligned with campus partner and network objectives, increase organizational clarity and reduce redundancy and costs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, organization development or related Human Resources field. A Master's degree in Business or Human Resources is preferred.
  • + years of experience in best in class HR functions in roles with increasing scope and responsibilities.5+ years of experience as the HR Leader of a large multi-specialist HR Function.
