Overview

Position Overview:

We are looking for a meticulous Event Service Supervisor to manage and oversee all banquet functions at our hotel. The Event Service Supervisor will be responsible for leading staff, ensuring seamless event operations, and prioritizing guest comfort and safety. To excel in this role, you should possess strong leadership abilities and the capacity to manage multiple streams of information. A successful Event Service Supervisor remains composed under pressure and demonstrates exceptional time management and organizational skills.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Event Managers to ensure successful execution of all events.
  • Participate in event order meetings to guarantee accuracy for all events.
  • Engage in pre-event meetings with clients alongside the Event Manager to confirm all details.
  • Take part in significant group pre-cons with the Banquet Manager.
  • Act as the liaison between meeting planners and the hotel to ensure event success.
  • Guide service staff in setting up for functions effectively.
  • Oversee daily operations of the service team to ensure timely food service with quality and cleanliness.
  • Provide a warm welcome and a fond farewell to all guests.
  • Ensure all banquet checks are processed at the end of events, securing client signatures.
  • Manage beverage consumption sheets at events and assist with monthly beverage inventory.
  • Conduct final quality checks on food and beverage items before serving.
  • Monitor assigned tables for guest satisfaction and additional service needs.
  • Address any guest concerns promptly and with high regard.
  • Provide supervisory support to other events and food & beverage outlets as necessary.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Captain in event service for various event sizes in catering venues or mid to large hotels, or at least 5 years of experience as a server and bartender, with banquet setup experience being a plus.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant setting is advantageous.
  • Flexibility in schedule availability to include weekends and holidays.
