Under the supervision of the Director of Student Support Services and technical guidance from a certificated school nurse, this role performs medical treatments and procedures in specialized physical health care services to students in accordance with plans directed by physicians. The incumbent must comply with laws relating to student health, including parental and guardian consent, and perform related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Administer medical treatments and procedures to students in accordance with physician-directed plans
- Comply with laws and regulations related to student health, including parental and guardian consent
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services
- High School Diploma or Equivalent supplemented by a Licensed Vocational Nurse course of instruction
- CPR certificate
- First Aid certificate
- Valid California Vocational Nurse License
- Valid California Driver's License
- Two years of experience providing specialized medical care or working in a health care service environment
