Outpatient Registered Nurse

The Outpatient Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a hemodialysis setting. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring patient vital signs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- 1+ year of experience in hemodialysis or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
The Outpatient Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced hemodialysis setting, with frequent exposure to blood and bodily fluids. They will be required to lift and move patients as needed, and may be exposed to infectious diseases.
Supervision:
The Outpatient Registered Nurse will report to the Team Leader or designated Nurse in Charge, and will be responsible for supervising Patient Care Technicians/LPNs/LVNs/RNs as assigned.
Education and Licensure:
The Outpatient Registered Nurse must have a current RN licensure in the state of employment, and must meet the practice requirements in the state in which they are employed.
