As a key member of the Department of Surgery, the successful candidate will be responsible for clinical, educational, and research oversight of this dynamic Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Division, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for residents, fellows, and medical students, promoting excellence in trauma and critical care education.
  • Foster a culture of research and innovation, encouraging faculty and staff to pursue cutting-edge research projects and collaborations.
  • Collaborate with institutional leadership to enhance and grow the MetroHealth trauma brand, promoting the Division's expertise and reputation regionally and nationally.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in general surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Ohio.
  • Strong clinical research background and evidence of a national presence in the field.
  • Eligibility to be hired at the Associate or Full Professor level at Case Western Reserve University.
