Job Summary

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Duke Women's Cancer Care in Raleigh, NC. As a key member of our department, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Care for patients with gynecologic malignancies and benign gynecologic conditions
  • Obtain patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in the patient's record
  • Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic-therapeutic procedures
  • Utilize medical decision making to create an individualized patient plan of care
  • Perform and/or assist with IUD placement/removal and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures
  • Report progress to collaborating physician and maintain record of each patient's progress
  • Play a significant role in managing end of life and supportive care issues
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current licensure in the state of North Carolina
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • First Assist experience preferred
Work Environment

Primary hours will be Monday through Friday with hours flexible to meet the needs of the patients. Possibility of in-patient consults performed at Duke Raleigh Hospital, WakeMed Raleigh, and WakeMed Cary Hospitals.
