Job Overview

I.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the integrity of incoming materials by verifying specifications through visual and measurement assessments, as well as rejecting and returning materials that do not meet quality standards. This role also involves approving in-process production by confirming adherence to quality specifications and conducting necessary tests. Effective communication with Quality and Production Supervisors regarding required adjustments is essential.

II.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Validate the quality of incoming materials.

· Execute quality audits to ensure compliance with design specifications.

· Perform data entry tasks as required.

· Conduct quality audits within the Assembly and Mill departments.

· Approve in-process production and manage returns for rework; confirm completion of rework.

· Carry out first article inspections.

· Conduct bi-weekly quality audits on finished goods and packaging.

· Document inspection outcomes by completing necessary reports and logs.

· Maintain updated quality boards on a daily basis.

· Uphold safety and quality standards consistently.

· Participate actively in Quality, Safety, and Production meetings.

· Foster effective communication with all members of the Quality and Production teams.

· Report directly to the Quality Lead/Supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Experience:

Prior experience in a related field is preferred.

Skills:

Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions.

Capability to assess and prioritize workload effectively.

Proficiency in working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

IV.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Typical Environment:

Manufacturing warehouse setting with consistent noise levels.

Equipment Utilized:

Computers, keyboards, software, phones, and other necessary equipment.

Measurement tools such as calipers and metric tapes.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and coordination of eye/hand/foot.

Constant communication through talking and listening.

Occasional lifting, carrying, reaching, and handling of materials.
