Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team at ScriptSourcing. As a key member of our executive team, you will play a critical role in shaping our company's strategic direction and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate high-level contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide strategic legal advice and planning support to the CEO and executive team on new business initiatives, corporate strategy, and decision-making processes.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic company initiatives and provide regular progress reports to the CEO.
• Collaborate with outside law firms to manage relationships and ensure effective representation of the company's interests.
• Offer guidance on legal implications of business decisions, risk management, and mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization.
• Manage and resolve complex legal disputes, including litigation and arbitration.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations, staying updated on legislative changes and advising on necessary policy adjustments.
• Provide education to employees and guidance about industry regulations and trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal counsel and ensure compliance with legal standards across departments.
• Represent the company through public speaking engagements, discussing the industry and company initiatives.
• Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with evolving laws and regulations.
• Prepare and present legal briefings for the CEO and executive team.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active Florida Bar membership with a current Florida law license.
• Extensive expertise in pharmaceutical and healthcare law.
• Experience with health insurance regulations and compliance.
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong background in contract law, corporate law, and litigation management.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and all forms of technology.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Travel

The position may require occasional travel. Some travel is outside the local area and overnight.
