Position Overview

As a Principal Engineer in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) domain, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of cutting-edge IT solutions tailored for Wafer Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a pivotal developer within the MES team, focusing on delivering superior IT solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to address complex business challenges requiring innovative IT solutions, documenting all specifications in Confluence.
  • Conduct initial sizing assessments and collaborate with support teams to ensure optimized design simulations.
  • Break down designs into manageable work packages for development and implementation, providing accurate effort estimations.
  • Advise on the selection of development tools, methodologies, and open-source software for customer-facing applications and automation solutions.
  • Lead the creation of new functionalities, algorithms, prototypes, and reports, deploying them in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Provide 24/7 support for MES issues across two wafer factories.
  • Collaborate with other IT departments, including Automation, Factory Systems, and Infrastructure, to ensure seamless integration.
  • Adhere to Agile principles throughout the development process.
Qualifications

Required
  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is essential; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio development suite, particularly C#.Net, with familiarity in web application development.
  • Experience in front-end development using frameworks such as Angular or React, as well as TypeScript, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Programming expertise with Oracle DB or MS SQL, including database schema design and the creation of stored procedures/functions.
  • Understanding of microservices and AI concepts.
Skills
  • Excellent written communication skills for drafting clear requirement documents, design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for presenting requirements, designs, test plans, and updates to peers and management.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented development environment.
