JOB TITLE:
Custodial Team Leader

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
FULL-TIME (40 hours per week)

SCHEDULE:
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of one year in custodial operations or a similar environment

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in relevant areas is preferred. Familiarity with computer operations, including Microsoft Word and Excel, is advantageous for certain roles.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:


Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record. Must be eligible for coverage under agency insurance when operating agency vehicles. A successful background check is required per company policies.
Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills are essential. Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate with professionalism is required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to foster positive relationships with management and colleagues. Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred.

SUPERVISORY STRUCTURE:

Reports to Supervisor/Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Onboard new team members by explaining their roles, providing orientation tours, and distributing reference materials.
2. Train staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
3. Ensure team members are well-versed in current cleaning methods and safety standards.
4. Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure compliance with company policies.
5. Maintain communication with supervisors and staff through assigned communication devices.
6. Ensure security of buildings and vehicles, following established protocols for key management.
7. Oversee maintenance of vehicles and ensure safe operation in accordance with company guidelines.
8. Collaborate with supervisors on project operations, including hiring recommendations and addressing performance issues.
9. Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure cleanliness and address any discrepancies.
10. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring proper labeling and timely ordering.
11. Report operational issues and employee incidents to supervisors promptly.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

May include other duties necessary to fulfill contractual obligations or adapt to customer needs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical stamina to work at least 8 hours daily is required. Must be able to navigate various surfaces and situations independently.

EMOTIONAL CAPACITIES:
Ability to adapt positively to changes in routine and manage assignments independently. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain focus are essential. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required to maintain confidentiality and resolve conflicts. Good judgment is necessary to ensure a safe working environment.
