Job Summary

Zurich North America is seeking a highly skilled Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our litigation team, you will represent our insureds in all phases of litigation, achieving best outcomes through technical excellence and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Zurich's insureds in all phases of litigation, demonstrating technical excellence and achieving best outcomes.
  • Ensure customer service by proactively communicating case information, responding to inquiries, and following customer protocols.
  • Document case files by updating relevant information in compliance with best practices.
  • Collaborate with claims adjusters to develop case strategies and escalate issues as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor and 5 or more years of experience in litigation.
  • Member of the Bar in good standing in the jurisdiction(s) where practice is located.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Experience working with Lexis or Westlaw.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims, and insurance defense litigation legal environment.
  • Knowledge of the law and procedure.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working in a team-based environment.
  • Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on factors such as office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Zurich provides a comprehensive employee benefits package and competitive compensation. For additional information about our Total Rewards, click here.

Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The starting salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000.
