Job Title: Classroom Behavior Support Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Classroom Behavior Support Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with our educators to develop and implement behavior modification techniques that promote growth and progress in our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize evidence-based behavior modification techniques to monitor progress and promote growth in our students.
  • Implement and utilize Trauma-Informed Care to create a safe and supportive environment for our students.
  • Assist with planning and implementing school and summer programming, as well as special events.
  • Promote parental involvement and engagement in their child's education.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed, and facilitate behavior groups to support students in developing healthy coping skills.
  • Act as a positive role model to our students, promoting appropriate interaction and coping skills.
  • Assist with transportation services, ensuring the safe boarding and de-boarding of our students.
  • Provide a safe, structured environment free from physical, verbal, or emotional abuse for each child.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma, plus 3 years of experience working with children.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
