We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Judicial Clerk I to join our team at the Colorado Judicial Branch. As a key member of our staff, you will provide exceptional customer service and support to the public, while assisting with case processing and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Assist customers with paperwork and answer questions regarding court procedures and processes.
- Process incoming correspondence, including emails, mail, and in-person filings and distribution.
- Direct customers to appropriate services, such as legal clinics, self-help information, and specialists.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case documentation, including contact information and processing bond forfeitures.
- Enter transcript requests and adhere to data integrity and timelines per applicable laws and regulations.
- Transfer information from law enforcement tickets or information filed into the case management system.
- Manage scheduling for time-sensitive cases, such as protection orders and emergency matters.
- Accept and process payments for court fines, fees, filing fees, and bonds.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and voice mail, and act as a liaison between division/Judicial Officer and customers.
- Train within trial court procedures and issue orders and notices from the court.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a sedentary role that requires sitting most of the time. The work environment is relatively free from unpleasant conditions and hazards.
