Hotel Paso Del Norte is a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company based in El Paso, Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Director to join our team.
About the Role
- This is a full-time position that requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge of computer equipment, banquet/catering food and beverage service policies or operations, and be able to compile facts and figures in accordance with established procedures.
- Supervisory skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the catering and group planning area to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with local and corporate standard operating procedures.
- Supervise catering coordinators and related associates, interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, developing, empowering, coaching, and counseling as needed.
- Meet with customers to review Banquet Event Orders, where necessary, to ensure delivery of a quality product.
- Calculate and review banquet checks, ensuring accuracy, and present them to the customer for signature to secure payment.
- Prepare daily gratuities and payroll reports accurately and promptly.
- Pursue new business opportunities through telemarketing, individual creativity, and innovation.
- Implement yield management techniques to enhance the hotel's financial performance.
- Maintain accurate file management systems to serve clients efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
