Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Laborer - Driller's Assistant to join our team at JARBO Employment Group. As a key member of our drilling operations team, you will play a vital role in exploring the earth's subsurface by drilling core samples.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all phases of drilling activities, including preparing sampling and drilling equipment for use.
  • Act as an assistant to a lead driller in pulling core samples of subsurface materials.
  • Operate an auger, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Monitor well development after installation and/or prior to sampling.
  • Backfill and repair pavement at completed borehole sites.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL holders preferred).
  • Ability to travel as needed, which could be up to 5-10 days away from home at any given time.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Proven willingness to work outdoors in varying climates and temperatures.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Capable of performing the essential responsibilities and physical requirements of this role.
  • Employment contingent on passing a drug screen, criminal history background check, and motor vehicle record check.
