Job Title: Orthopedic Registered Nurse

Verovian is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Registered Nurse (Ortho RN) to join a team of healthcare professionals in Anchorage, Alaska.

Your full-time role is vital in providing specialized nursing care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions and those who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions, identifying their physical and emotional needs.
  • Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and surgical incisions, taking prompt action in case of complications.
  • Assist in orthopedic surgeries, ensuring proper positioning, aseptic techniques, and instrumentation.
  • Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, expected outcomes, and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists to develop and implement mobility and rehabilitation plans.
  • Assist patients in regaining strength, range of motion, and independence in daily activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited Institution.
  • 1 year experience.
  • Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Previous experience in orthopedic nursing is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Empathy, patience, and dedication to providing exceptional patient care.
