Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electron Beam Welder to join our 2nd Shift team in Berlin, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining electron beam welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on metal parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Electron Beam (EB) welders according to established guidelines, including equipment preparation, part loading/unloading, process monitoring, and adjustments.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate welding procedures.
- Inspect welded parts using precision gauges and tools to verify quality standards.
- Maintain detailed production and maintenance records.
- Collaborate with management and team members to optimize welding processes and achieve production goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification in low-carbon steel welding is preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience operating TIG welders, with a strong understanding of welding principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and welding equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
