About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team at Sherwin-Williams. As a Store Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone, determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
  • Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and consistently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, driving sales growth and revenue.
  • Maintain precise work order files and formulas, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Stock shelves and set up displays, maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Clean store equipment, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Load/unload delivery trucks, assisting with inventory management and logistics.
  • Assist in making deliveries, as needed, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas, adhering to company standards.
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered, discussing available options and features with customers.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
  • Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
