Position Overview:

We offer a variety of shifts to accommodate your schedule. Currently, we are hiring for shifts that start within the following time frames:

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST

9:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST

Note: Shifts are Monday through Friday, with weekends assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Handle routine customer service inquiries and issues through telephone, digital, or chat channels, utilizing effective communication and problem-solving skills. These inquiries typically require the use of standard screens, scripts, and procedures.

+ Navigate a computerized system to respond to and troubleshoot customer questions.

+ Exhibit excellent verbal communication and problem-solving abilities, while being adept at multitasking as required.

+ Proactively manage and escalate risks and customer-impacting issues to management during daily operations.

How You Will Contribute:

+ Assist over 100 customers daily by engaging energetically in a fast-paced, back-to-back call environment via phone, online, or chat.

+ Provide empathetic support for customer inquiries regarding reward redemptions, updates to customer information, card activations, payment processing, lost or stolen cards, statement and APR inquiries, and credit line adjustments.

+ Utilize multiple systems to respond to, troubleshoot, and document customer inquiries effectively.

+ Leverage standard screens, scripts, and procedures to ensure consistency in service delivery.

+ Enhance the Discover Financial brand by delivering industry-leading customer care and innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 1+ years of experience in a call center or customer service role.

+ High School Diploma or GED.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position typically ranges from $18.00 to $21.75. Additional incentives may be available as part of a competitive total compensation package. Factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may influence the pay for this role.
