Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at UVA Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support services in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living to promote optimal recovery and comfort.
  • Perform basic nursing skills and procedures as delegated by registered nurses and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Provide administrative support and maintain accurate records as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain necessary skills and competencies.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • No experience necessary, but relevant experience preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the Virginia Board of Nursing required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands

The job requires frequent bending, stooping, and driving. The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds is also required. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.
