We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team at John Muir Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to patients receiving conscious sedation, including nerve blocks and cardioversion.
- Triage patients and manage precipitous deliveries and care for mothers and newborns post-delivery.
- Stabilize critically ill patients prior to disposition, including acute stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and respiratory distress.
- Function competently in the flow and resource roles and assume the role of a relief charge nurse.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- 6 months of nursing experience in acute care preferred.
- 2000 hours of nursing experience in emergency services must be obtained within the last 3 years.
- RN registered nursing license in California required.
- BLS basic life support certification required.
- ACLS advanced cardiac life support certification non-core requirement.
- PALS pediatric advanced life support certification required prior to completion of orientation.
- ENPC emergency nurse pediatric course certification required prior to completion of orientation.
- Approved cardiac rhythm test certification required.
- NIHSS national institute of health stroke scale competency required.
This is a per diem night shift position with a pay range of $99.73 hourly. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
