About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at Ryder. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance on our fleet of light and medium duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, and fluid checks
  • Assist higher-grade maintenance specialists in completing complex repairs and diagnose issues with engines, transmissions, and other fuel components
  • Perform basic diagnostics and hydraulic brake inspections, repairs, and replacements
  • Operate out of a mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards within assigned regions
  • Represent Ryder to establish relationships with customers and ensure proper documentation of work orders and repair notes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or professional diploma preferred
  • Two years or more of combination of classroom training and work experience
  • Non-Commercial Driver License CLASS E, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • State driver's license, as required
  • Pass a Ryder drug test and previous employer's for the past 3 years, DOT physical, Ryder road test, pass a Ryder background check and motor vehicle check including Drug and Alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
