Urology Physician Assistant

The successful candidate will practice medicine with physician supervision, conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical exams, assess health status, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses.
- Consult with physicians as needed and refer to physicians for more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of a PA's scope of work.
- Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care.
- Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems. Respond to emergencies, including use of CPR.
- Counsel patients and families on preventive health care.
- Document patient information and care in medical records and maintain department statistical databases for research purposes.
- Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited physician assistant program.
- Four years of healthcare experience prior to applying to PA program, plus one year of experience as a PA, preferably in a clinic setting.
