Job Summary

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our In-House Agency RN Program. This is a temporary part-time PRN (as needed) position with shifts varying throughout the 13-week contract period.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care as an RN, coordinating care for patients, triaging patients, and working collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff.
  • Facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and provide patient education on complex conditions.
  • Work with individual patients, their families, and providers of care to develop and implement individual health plans.
Requirements
  • Valid RN license issued by the State of Arkansas.
  • 12 months of experience as an RN in an acute care hospital, with at least 6 months in a direct patient care role.
  • Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, and strong work ethics and accountability.
  • Specialty areas, such as Intensive Care, F4 Surgical Trauma, may require pre-screening testing with a minimum score of 80%.
