Covenant Living is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our campus, residents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency situations and calls, and ensure prompt and effective response to all emergencies on campus.
- Conduct regular patrols of the campus, including buildings and grounds, to identify and address potential security risks.
- Monitor and control access to the campus, including exterior doors and vehicle traffic.
- Challenge and report any unauthorized individuals on campus.
- Collaborate with on-call personnel and emergency services as needed.
- Conduct routine checks of security equipment and report any issues or malfunctions.
- Write and distribute incident reports and maintain accurate records of security incidents.
- Identify and report safety hazards and submit maintenance requests as needed.
- Provide non-emergency residential services and maintenance/housekeeping support as directed by leadership staff.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in security or a related field.
- Current state driver's license (CDL preferred) and a good driving record.
- First aid certification and experience in emergency medical situations.
- Ability to read and write in English and communicate effectively with colleagues and residents.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with people, especially the elderly.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions and work under conditions that require flexibility and adaptability.
- For California candidates, must maintain a valid and current California Security License.
