Job Summary:The Clinical Nurse - Float Pool will be responsible for providing competent clinical nursing care to patients in a hospital setting. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide patient-centered care that is respectful, compassionate, and culturally sensitive.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing practices and evidence-based guidelines to provide the highest level of care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- One year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a float pool or similar role.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, depending on the float area.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, depending on the float area.
- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school.
