Job Summary

The Alden Network is seeking a dedicated Alden Network Dementia Care Professional to join our team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a compassionate and experienced healthcare provider to provide high-quality care to residents with dementia.

  • Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing a therapeutic, person-centered memory care activity program.
  • Assisting in oversight of Memory Care Aides and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Becoming knowledgeable of each resident's background, life history, disease, medical and behavioral care needs, and preferences.
  • Utilizing any communication devices for residents, such as language services, communication boards, assistive devices, etc.
  • Encouraging family involvement through volunteering and visitation.
  • Providing a clean, safe, non-hazardous unit for residents and staff.
  • Assisting in providing an individualized symptom management tracking system as needed per resident.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current nursing license.
  • At least 12 hours of ongoing education annually in Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
