Bridgestone Americas is seeking a skilled Tire Retreading Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the retreading process of used commercial tires, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Inspection: Assess tires for retreading or repair needs by evaluating their condition and identifying necessary repairs.
- Retreading Process: Utilize shearography, buffing machines, and repair equipment to prepare tires for retreading. Apply rubber compounds to the tire casing, ensuring proper adhesion, and hang tires to dry.
- Curing: Operate curing machines to ensure that retreaded tires are processed correctly for optimal performance and durability.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of finished retreaded tires to verify they meet quality standards. Cross-check work orders to ensure proper identification and completion of all required tasks.
- Finishing: Trim and paint retreaded tires to achieve a finished product that meets company standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Responsibly and safely use all relevant tools and machinery, adhering to established safety protocols and company policies. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on safety procedures and job requirements.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required
- Valid Driver's License: Required
- Ability to Lift and/or Move Tires: Must be able to lift and/or move tires weighing between lbs. with or without mechanical assistance.
- Willingness to Undergo Background Check and Physical: Must be willing to undergo a federal background check, drug screen, and physical.
