Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Retread Technician to join our team at Bridgestone Americas. As a Retread Technician, you will be responsible for the retreading process of used commercial tires, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect tires for retreading or repair needs by evaluating their condition and identifying necessary repairs
- Utilize shearography, buffing machines, and repair equipment to prepare tires for retreading
- Apply rubber compounds to the tire casing, ensuring proper adhesion, and hang tires to dry
- Operate curing machines to ensure that retreaded tires are processed correctly for optimal performance and durability
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished retreaded tires to verify they meet quality standards
- Trim and paint retreaded tires to achieve a finished product that meets company standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid Driver's License
- Willingness to undergo a federal background check, drug screen, and physical
- Ability to lift and/or move tires weighing between lbs. with or without mechanical assistance
