  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with construction lending through thorough analysis, review, and monitoring of each loan, alongside active communication with lending staff and legal document analysis.
  • Review and comprehend construction contracts and general contractor payment applications.
  • Establish all construction projects within a dedicated management system, utilizing budgets for effective project oversight and fund allocation.
  • Input necessary loan data into the system to ensure effective risk management monitoring.
  • Coordinate post-closing follow-up activities, including the completion of the Draw Reference Guide and conducting Post Close Draw Overview Process meetings with borrowers and lenders.
  • Administer and manage a portfolio of active construction loans.
  • Exhibit project management skills, including adherence to strict timelines, effective communication (both written and verbal), management of third-party vendors, analysis of draw requests, budget oversight, and monitoring of monthly principal and interest payments.
  • Address relevant ad hoc tasks as business needs arise.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial construction lending, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of professional experience in construction management, documentation, loan closings, and real estate administration.
  • Preferred knowledge of the Construction Finance industry.
  • Strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Exceptional operational execution skills, including planning, project management, and problem-solving.

  • Ability to interpret construction and legal requirements effectively.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented, and judgment skills.
  • Knowledge of loan-legal documentation is essential.
