Job Summary

Rosendin Electric is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for the purchase of electrical equipment, construction materials, and issuing subcontracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and review requisitions for materials and equipment from project managers and field operations.
  • Source materials and equipment in accordance with established company practices and procedures.
  • Solicit quotations from vendors and analyze findings to ensure best economic value and alignment with company objectives.
  • Generate and distribute purchase orders in accordance with established company procedures.
  • Track and expedite all existing orders, updating and maintaining scheduling in the procurement system.
  • Support the estimating department by contacting vendors for budgetary quotations for materials and equipment in the preparation of bids.
  • Solicit and prepare submittal documentation in support of project managers.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by corporate managers or division managers.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
  • Knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, and accounting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
