Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Custom Framing Specialist to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, creating memorable framing solutions, and maintaining a safe and clean store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with customers to understand their framing needs and preferences.
  • Create custom framing solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • Maintain a high level of quality and productivity in framing orders.
  • Ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store environment.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Support shrink and safety programs to maintain a safe and secure store environment.
  • Interact with colleagues in a positive and respectful manner, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure efficient and accurate inventory management.
  • Operate cash registers and execute cash handling procedures to standards.
  • Assist customers with product location and provide solutions to meet their needs.
  • Support Omni-channel processes to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and measuring skills.
  • Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutters.
  • Preferred: Retail experience and sales skills.
Work Environment

Our store is a public retail setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and outdoor work may be required for tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses, and work hours may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
