Job Description

Wood Mackenzie is a global leader in the energy, renewables, and natural resources industries. We provide unparalleled insight to companies and governments through our proprietary monitoring systems, which measure millions of data points daily.

The Field Engineer will join our sensor network operations team to support the expansion and maintenance of our international network in the SE region of the United States and lower 48 states. This role requires frequent travel (average 4 days per week) to install monitoring systems near electric power generating plants, measuring flow on overhead power lines wirelessly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of monitoring systems near electric power generating plants.
  • Work with team members to pre-plan and complete sensor installations, troubleshoot technical problems, and ship/receive new or old equipment.
  • Verify incoming data quality from new sensors and calibrate the data collected from devices.
  • Perform maintenance on previously installed monitoring systems in the network.
  • Troubleshoot problem components and replace faulty parts (on- and off-site).

**Salary:** $60,000 - $80,000 per year (dependent on experience)
