Scientific Laboratory Director

At Assured Testing Laboratories LLC, we are seeking an experienced Scientific Laboratory Director to lead our team of professionals in achieving excellence in testing and laboratory services. With a strong background in chemistry, biology, or a related field, this individual will be responsible for managing, recruiting, and developing high-quality talent that delivers against company goals.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in chemistry, biology, genomics, microbiology, or a related field, with 3-6 years of experience and previous supervisory experience. They should possess strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills, as well as a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements.

A key responsibility of the Scientific Laboratory Director will be to establish, communicate, and manage department, team, and individual performance objectives that are consistent with company goals and maximize individual development goals. This includes directing the training and scheduling of staff to ensure company and individual performance objectives are met.

In addition, the Scientific Laboratory Director will be expected to select, propose, implement, and validate new assays for the lab to add to its testing portfolio within the first six months. They will also work to optimize current assays to increase throughput and efficiency and select, propose, and implement opportunities to diversify the company's portfolio (e.g., additional licenses, certifications, grants, and revenue streams) within the first year.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, 401k, and PTO.
