Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EMT Coordinator to join our team at Medical City Plano. As an EMT Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth transfer of patients between facilities, while providing exceptional customer service to our patients, physicians, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all transfer center functions, including centralized patient placement, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate the transfer of patients and discharges from HCA facilities, ensuring accurate and concurrent data collection and maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure appropriate patient admission and placement.
  • Establish and maintain a high degree of awareness and knowledge of hospitals' medical staff, services, and special programs.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer relationship behaviors, including telephone and personal contact with all customer groups.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical or hospital experience, with a strong preference for ED and acute hospital experience.
  • Call Center/Transfer Center experience is highly desirable.
  • EMT Basic Certificate is required.
