Oak View Group is the global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services for the live event industry.
We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our team and leverage advanced data science techniques to drive innovation and strategic insights.
As a Data Scientist, you will apply your expertise in machine learning, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling to solve complex problems and enhance business decisions.
You will collaborate with various departments to design and implement models that improve our operational efficiency and customer experiences across the live entertainment industry and our range of products and services.
This role will involve developing and refining predictive models and algorithms to forecast trends and behaviors in customer data, operational metrics, and financial performance.
You will also perform deep statistical analysis and apply advanced machine learning techniques to large, complex data sets to extract actionable insights.
Additionally, you will communicate complex data science concepts and the results of analyses clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 6-9 years of professional experience in data science, with demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and familiarity with big data technologies.
- Strong experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with the use of standard API's and data formats, such as JSON and XML.
- Proven ability to manage and analyze large data sets from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in insights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to initiate and lead projects independently.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex data insights in a clear and effective manner.
Preferred qualifications include previous experience with cloud data platforms, especially Azure, and experience with C# and .NET.
