Position Summary: The Investment Consulting Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the client experience by collaborating closely with Investment Consultants. This position involves meticulous analysis of the firm's Endowment & Foundation and Defined Benefit Plan client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation and diagnostic review of portfolios for new clients, engaging with various teams within the firm.
  • Formulate and assess investment policy statements that align with clients' objectives, risk profiles, and investment limitations.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of asset allocation structures within client portfolios, including modeling and optimization assessments.
  • Work alongside Investment Research to devise tailored solutions for client portfolios.
  • Prepare fiduciary governance materials for quarterly reporting.
  • Generate and customize components for client reports and supplementary meeting materials as required.
  • Develop trade recommendations to facilitate investment decisions, portfolio reallocations, or rebalancing, adhering to risk management protocols and compliance guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Performance Analytics and Client Services to create optimal reporting solutions for clients.
  • Issue and assess vendor Requests for Information (RFIs) or Requests for Proposals (RFPs), preparing relevant analyses and deliverables.
  • Address periodic audit requests for investment-related data and analyses.
  • Conduct special analyses and projects to support Investment Consultants as needed.
  • Maintain proactive communication with Investment Consultants regarding all client matters and related initiatives.
  • Participate in client meetings in a supportive capacity when necessary.
  • Ensure timely and effective follow-up on meeting action items.
  • Maintain accurate records of client accounts and investments in the CRM system.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from clients and vendors.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Economics or Finance.
  • Two to five years of experience in investment consulting or related fields.
  • Experience servicing Institutional clients within a Discretionary Outsourced CIO (OCIO) framework is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, custody portals, and asset allocation modeling software is a plus.
  • CFA candidacy is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, including domestic and international equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
  • A genuine interest in investments, asset allocation, and portfolio structuring.
  • Fundamental knowledge of retirement plans (Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution) and the nonprofit sector.

Work Environment:

  • This role may involve travel up to 10% for training and business events.
  • The position offers a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.

  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly.
  • Capability to navigate different areas within the workplace.
