Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Assistant Job Summary: As a key member of our facilities team, the Maintenance Mechanic Assistant will perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our buildings and grounds. Key Responsibilities: * Perform routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, furniture, and fixtures * Assist in moving heavy objects such as refrigerators and stoves * Clear snow and ice from buildings and grounds * Perform pest-control tasks using chemical fogging machines * Assist in floor-tile patching and installation * Perform minor electrical, plumbing, and heating tasks * Assist in grounds maintenance, including mowing lawns and trimming shrubs Requirements: * Basic understanding of heating, plumbing, and electricity * Knowledge of materials and equipment used in building and grounds maintenance * Ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs of buildings, grounds, and equipment * Ability to operate a snowplow and pest control equipment * Ability to follow oral and written instructions * Ability to lift heavy objects Working Conditions: * Work is performed in a variety of settings, including buildings, grounds, and outdoors * May be required to work at heights or in confined spaces * May be exposed to hazardous materials or equipment Supervision: * Receives work direction and guidance from the Property Manager, Maintenance Mechanic, or Assistant Director of Housing Management Talantage, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer: We are committed to presenting candidates that contribute to an organization's culture of inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
