Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as an RF Packaging Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electro-mechanical packaging solutions for radio frequency (RF) devices. Your expertise in thermal and structural analysis, as well as your experience with CAD software, will be essential in solving packaging, thermal, and stress challenges related to the assembly of electronic hardware within standard and custom designed enclosures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design high-performance mechanical assemblies and support production teams in the development of designs
  • Conduct thermal, mechanical stress, and vibration analysis of electro-mechanical enclosures, heat exchange mechanisms, and printed circuit boards used on airborne, maritime, and ground-mobile RF equipment
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to the mechanical aspects of designs, including detail drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • Support research and investigation to determine the root cause analysis of mechanical failures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new program proposals and technical interchange with potential customers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience, or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with 3D CAD software, thermal and stress analysis software, and PCB layout software
  • Knowledge of military standards and specifications, as well as experience with military electro-mechanical enclosure designs
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Work Environment

This role will be based in our manufacturing facility, where you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of experienced engineers and technicians. You will be required to work in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. Personal protective equipment will be provided and must be worn in designated areas.

What We Offer
