Essential Duties:
  • Develop expertise in job-specific tasks through training and resources, with a focus on electrical circuitry and control systems.
  • Identify mechanical problems by observing equipment in operation and using precision measuring tools.
  • Dismantle defective components using hand and power tools, assessing the condition of parts.
  • Inspect and measure parts to determine necessary adjustments or replacements.
  • Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to adjust functional components of machinery.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Fabricate replacement parts using machine shop tools and equipment.
  • Manage inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely ordering.
  • Optimize resource usage to achieve maintenance objectives efficiently.
  • Provide technical support and information to team members regarding mechanical maintenance.
  • Compile maintenance reports by gathering and analyzing operational data.
  • Document and communicate maintenance activities and ongoing needs to ensure team continuity.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred experience of 2-3 years in a maintenance technician role.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for team collaboration.
  • Capability to work in challenging conditions, including confined spaces and varying temperatures.
  • Comfortable working from heights and using ladders.
  • Ability to recognize and report unsafe conditions in the workplace.
  • Adherence to safety standards while operating various tools and equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in distinguishing sounds, colors, and odors related to equipment operation for troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics related to building and utility systems.
  • Knowledgeable in methods and practices for preventative maintenance and minor construction tasks.
  • Capable of safely operating vehicles and construction equipment in diverse weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and the ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
