Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MEDICAL OFFICE COORDINATOR to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our nursing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical offices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a medical office or outpatient setting and possess excellent communication and leadership skills.

About the Role

This position is responsible for coordinating clinical care within all clinics to maximize safety, patient satisfaction, and quality outcomes. You will work closely with physicians, APPs, and other staff members to provide a dynamic and user-friendly practice environment. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating clinical assignments, identifying opportunities to improve clinic flow, and documenting patient care records.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate clinical assignments for each day and clinic to ensure optimal coverage, timely patient flow, and excellent patient care.
- Identify opportunities to improve clinic flow and work with management to implement changes.
- Ensure that care/service delivered to each patient is appropriate and in accordance with physician orders, departmental policies, and full consideration of patient safety needs.
- Document patient care records accurately and thoroughly.

Requirements

- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office or outpatient setting.
- Possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures.
- Ability to document clinical information accurately and thoroughly.
