Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist IV to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repair work on our buildings, utility systems, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform highly advanced maintenance and repair work on buildings, utility systems, and equipment, including renovation, restoration, and construction projects.
• Conduct inspections, adjustments, and maintenance work on building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, welding, carpentry, painting, and electrical systems.
• Evaluate work to be performed and determine the best method for performing maintenance and repair work.
• Design and implement projects to modernize buildings and adapt them to new uses, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Select and procure necessary materials and equipment for projects.
• Lead and supervise the work of others on construction, maintenance, and repair projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, projects, and material requisitions.
• Participate in disaster response and recovery efforts as needed.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in a skilled trade, such as plumbing, HVAC, welding, carpentry, painting, or electrical work.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
