We are seeking a Community Lender to join our team at Centier Bank. As a Community Lender, you will be responsible for participating with local affordable housing agencies in training and educating potential clients, soliciting mortgage loans, and providing information during inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make sales calls on realtors, builders, and other pertinent parties to solicit mortgage loans and develop banking relationships.
  • Participate with affordable housing agencies in the respective local markets to promote mortgage loans and cross-sell services.
  • Interview loan applicants to document income, debt, credit history, employment, and general information.
  • Request and review documents such as income tax returns, W-2s, purchase agreements, and legal descriptions to properly process loan applications.
  • Determine if applicants meet established standards or what additional information might be necessary for further consideration.
  • Analyze financial information, including tax returns, to assess loan eligibility.
  • Inform applicants of all costs and closing fees associated with the loan request.
  • Submit completed loan applications and supporting documents to loan processing for review.
  • Call applicants to resolve discrepancies and inform them of loan approval or denial.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and communicate openly with bank associates, management, and clients.
  • Meet production goals on a monthly basis and attend loan closings.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank and government regulations, rules, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • 3 years commissioned lending experience.
