Job Summary

The Patient Experience Liaison serves as a key liaison between patients, families, visitors, and the hospital's clinical and non-clinical staff. This role is responsible for ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and service, and that their concerns and complaints are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve patient complaints and concerns in a fair and impartial manner.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding hospital policies, procedures, and services.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address system-related problems that impact patient care and satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient experience and satisfaction.
  • Provide emotional support and advocacy to patients and families during difficult times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure that concerns and issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify and address areas for improvement in patient care and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, families, and staff, to ensure that their needs and concerns are addressed.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and hospital policies and procedures related to patient rights and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or patient advocacy.
  • 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient relations or advocacy role.
  • Certificate in patient advocacy or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. The Patient Experience Liaison will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

The salary range for this role is competitive and will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
